1、 Drill pipe power tong needs to be leveled

Leveling the drill pipe power tong is a very important issue. If the drill pipe power tong is not leveled, it will not only slip but also cause damage to the drill pipe power tong. The drill pipe power tong is hung on the mast using 6/8 '~7/8 "steel wire rope, and the height is adjusted using a 3-ton chain pulley. The tong tail column is fixed on the mast base or mast (not welded). After the pipeline is connected, the conveying tube is connected to the tong tail, and the tong is ventilated to the wellhead (there should be drill pipe at the wellhead for easy adjustment). The height of the drill pipe power tong is adjusted to maintain a certain distance (40mm) between the bottom of the drill pipe power tong and the upper plane of the elevator . After opening the pliers and entering the drill pipe, observe that the front of the tong head is uneven on both sides of the drill pipe power tong. If uneven, rotate the screw on the suspension rod to adjust the left and right positions of the lifting wire rope to the horizontal. After the left and right sides are basically level, observe whether the two plugs of the upper and lower pliers are connected to the male and female joints of the drill pipe respectively. If there is no connection, it means that the sweet nuts are uneven. By adjusting the suspension rod adjustment screw and adjusting the clamp head, connect the male and female joints to the lower two screw plugs of E.

      2、 Adjustment of chuck speed

The speed of the tong head is directly proportional to the oil supply of the oil pump. As long as the fuel supply of the oil pump is changed, the speed of the tong head can be changed. Adjust the oil supply of the oil pump to 2/3. If the rotation speed of the tong head is too high, reduce the flow rate. Otherwise, increase the flow rate.

      3、 Adjusting the torque of the tong head

The torque of the tong head is proportional to the oil pressure. The adjustment method is to first send the drill pipe power tong to the wellhead, operate the advanced clamping joint, adjust the pressure of the oil tank overflow valve when the tong is not rotating, and confirm it as the system supply pressure. During the supply operation, adjust the relief valve to the specified pressure (i.e. torque) of the system. It is important to note that the low gear cannot be opened to adjust the pressure. Due to excessive torque in low gear, the joint of the drill pipe power tong will break!
